Complete a partial net of a prism or pyramid

Two unfinished nets are drawn, each missing exactly one face. The pyramid's net so far has 1 rectangle and 3 triangles. The prism's net so far has 2 rectangles and 2 triangles. Name the missing face and draw it in.

Strategy Draw a Diagram — The picture carries all the information, so I work straight on the drawing. I split the job into three easy subproblems that I can settle one at a time: which solid is it (count the rectangles and the triangles), which face is missing (compare the faces drawn with the faces the solid needs), and where can that face go (walk right around the outer boundary and test every free edge whose length fits). Walking the boundary in order is what stops me from missing a spot or writing the same spot down twice, and a paper copy that I actually fold is the final check.

Every edge where two faces meet was matched by length, so nothing is joined to an edge that is too short or too long, and in each of the places listed the new face lies on empty paper, so no face covers another. Folding a paper copy closes both solids with no gap, which is the check the count alone cannot give.
