Subtract Liam's weight from Mia's at each age: age7: 24-20=4, age8: 26-22=4, age9: 27-25=2, age10: 32-26=6, age11: 30-27=3.
Listing all five differences leaves nothing out for such a small set.

Why?
Comparing two weights means finding the gap between them, which is how much you would add to the lighter weight to reach the heavier one.
Why?
Mia's weight is Liam's weight together with that extra gap on top, split cleanly with no overlap and nothing left out.
Why?
To get the gap on its own we take Liam's weight back off Mia's weight, which reverses the adding that had combined them.
Pick the smallest gap
Among 4, 4, 2, 6, 3 the smallest is 2, at age 9 — the two lines are just two squares apart there.
The narrowest vertical gap between the two lines is the smallest difference.
